  • HDRI Studio Rig: This plugin allows you to browse and add HDRI, then rotate, adjust, and place them in the perfect position. You can also create seamless floors, control shadows, blur the HDRI, and adjust brightness and reflections separately. This plugin works with the Cinema 4D Standard and Physical renderers.

  • HDRI Link: This plugin allows you to quickly browse and apply hundreds of HDRI in seconds with major third-party render engines like Redshift, Octane, and Arnold. You can also switch between render engines easily and use the preview mode to see how the HDRI looks before rendering. This plugin is not compatible with the Standard / Physical or Pro Renderer.

  • HDRI Collections: The pack also includes several HDRI collections that you can use with either plugin. These collections cover various environments and lighting scenarios, such as studio, indoor, outdoor, metal, skies, area light maps, and more. You can also use your own HDRI collections with the plugins.

How to use the pack?

To use the GSG HDRI Studio Pack 1.8 for Cinema 4D, you need to install the plugins and the HDRI collections in your Cinema 4D folder. Then, you can access them from the Greyscalegorilla menu in Cinema 4D. Depending on which plugin and renderer you are using, you can follow these steps:

  • HDRI Studio Rig + Standard / Physical Renderer: Add a HDRI Studio Rig object to your scene. Then, open the HDRI Browser from the Greyscalegorilla menu and drag any HDRI into your scene. You can then adjust the rotation, brightness, reflection, blur, floor, shadow, and color settings from the HDRI Studio Rig object.

  • HDRI Link + Third-Party Renderer: Add a HDRI Link Tag to your lighting parameter (such as a sky object or an area light). Then, open the HDRI Browser from the Greyscalegorilla menu and drag any HDRI into your scene. The HDRI will be automatically connected to your lighting parameter. You can then adjust the rotation and blur settings from the HDRI Link Tag.
