In my previous relationship, money would go missing from my purse so I never carried cash after that. I kept my bank accounts separate from his. Everything should be completely separate. I mostly paid when we went out. He would make me feel guilty because I made more money than him. Our apartment was in my name only, which was a big financial mistake, because at any point if he were to leave me, I would be stuck with the rent until the lease was up.

Please always remember: If they really love you, they will respect you. I only know that now to be true, because I am currently married to a man that treats me so well and respects me. He doesn't belittle me, threaten me, or insult me. He doesn't turn off his phone on purpose or block my number. He also doesn't dismiss my feelings or monitors my whereabouts. I feel safe when I'm with him and I know he would never hurt me. Could I say any of these things about my abusive, narcissistic ex-fiance? No way! And the only reason why I said "Yes," when he proposed to me because I was afraid he was going to leave me stranded on Treasure Island in San Francisco if I would have said otherwise! You deserve to be with someone who trusts you and doesn't accuse you of cheating when in reality he's the one probably cheating. Any form of abusive is not okay and not normal in a healthy, loving relationship.
